To celebrate World Youth Skills Day 2020 The T.E.A. Project will be providing our 'Movement 4 Well Being Programme' to young people at a Drug & Alcohol Rehabilitation Centre.
The M4W programme was scheduled to run today, unfortunately, because of a recent spike in COVID19 cases in Sri Lanka, the programme will be postponed until the situation settles and the current risk is decreased.
The target group will be 20 boys aged between 15 and 21 years with drug and alcohol abuse-related problems.
The purpose will be to implement movement-based coping and emotional regulation skills to establish a sense of safety and well-being in adolescents. Young people who experience adverse life events and drug and/or alcohol abuse; to show them an alternative method to cope with difficult situations.
We are very much looking forward to providing M4W soon and to working with these young people; and to hopefully enhance their futures with practical life skills.
