The TEA Project is happy to welcome another School into our partner network.
The project donates weekly art therapy workshops. We focus on teaching young people how to see the world as artists, encourage children to question everything & think 'outside of the box' . Using art as an effective tool to communicate their emotions.

Mind Adventures!

Mind Adsventures Theatre Company staged a reading of Tom Stoppard's masterpiece 'Arcadia' in Sri Lanka's Capital, Colombo, to commemorate International Women's Day and to raise funding & awareness for The TEA Project theteaproject.org They raised a fantastic Rs.130,000.00 (£700) for our projects with vulnerable children in Sri lanka.
Arcadia is a play with a lot of big ideas about science and romance and features a young mathematical genius; based on Ada Lovelace. Ada was the daughter of Lord Byron; a poet who epitomised the Romantic Age. She was a Mathematician widely regarded as the first to recognise the potential of the 'computing machine' and the first to write an algorithm or programme to be carried out by such a machine.
Thank you to the cast for donating your valuable time and to everyone involved for your support.

Happy World Book Day!

WBD is a celebration! It’s a celebration of reading. In fact, it’s the biggest celebration of its kind, designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries all over the world.
This is the 20th year there’s been a World Book Day and today (2nd March 2017) children of all ages will come together to appreciate reading. Very loudly and very happily.
The TEA Project creates 'Penship' Partners between school children in the UK and pupils within our Sri Lankan School Support Network. This morning TEA's Senior Project Worker received letters from school children in Scotland which will be passed to their partner school in Sri Lanka.
Do you remember the feeling of receiving a letter through the mail? The advancement of modern technology means this incredibly special experience is now mostly denied. The TEA Project engages to reintroduce this empowering feeling; an emotional, creative and educational exchange that has the possibility of building friendships that can span cultural divides and the passing of years.
Have a great day wherever you are celebrating.
